guidelines

So I think this is the way we should do this…   the themes will run month to month, much easier to manage, therefore March will be 1972, we’ll be a little ahead of the game, but its the first month.  Please wait to post your picks until like the last week of the month, being that we’re starting early for 1972, maybe 10 days out.  In the meantime please share thoughts/recommendations of related stuff – discussion is always open.

The final week of the month we can take turns on what the next month’s theme will be, that person can post it then,  The List of Editors for the MC are Mike, Brent, John, Edward, Nate and myself Bob.  Here is the random order I’ve come up with for choosing the theme.  March (1972) is Mike, April is Edward, May is Brent, June is Nate, July is John and August will be me, we can start over from there.

Recommendations:  I’d like each of us to make at least one album recommendation for each month.  Please do one right away to get things started.

Tagging / Categorizing:  When writing posts, just as I am right now.  To the right of my screen there is a box that says Categories.  Pleasebe sure to categorize your posts so they get files in the right spot, this one will go in  “guidelines.” Tagging is important too.  It’s below Categories, please tag your posts for easy retrieval, especially with the themes, eg. 1972.

Themes – for something like 1972 we can go top 10 albums / top 10 songs.  but for an artist top 5 albums / top ten songs.

Books – are you guys interested in book recommendations for each month as well?  I know we use to do it.

Anything else?  Any suggestions?  please post!  We need everyone’s input.  This is for exploring music and having discussions.  I’m well aware that our music preferences are going to be all across the board,  please be respectful.  This isn’t about who knows more or who has better taste.  Let’s have fun !
